A person can grow a massive amount of flowers on a surprisingly small plot of land. Brick Farmhouse Flowers lies on less than a fifth of an acre, but we make every square foot count! Our farm also supports a large vegetable garden, grass pasture, and a hay field along with our animals - goats, cattle, laying hens, and peafowl. And we can't forget the barn kitties that love a scratch behind the ears.
Brick Farmhouse Flowers was established in 2021, the result of owner Jen's pandemic project. 2020 provided the nudge she needed to try her hand at growing cut flowers. Having grown vegetables and landscape flowers, she had experience in growing things, but there was lots of self-doubt: "can I really grow those beautiful blooms?" After sinking into all the podcasts, blogs, and books she could find, she sowed her first flower seeds in her basement and nurtured them until warmer spring temperatures welcomed the new plants to the garden.
Brick Farmhouse Flowers is the home of the Vit family - Jen and husband TJ plus their three sons.
